Monday through Thursday: 8:15 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Friday (Early Release): 8:15 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Procedures
We highly recommend that families utilize the carpool driveway for morning arrival and drop-off so that children may begin their school day independently. This process encourages the greatest independence in the child and teachers consistently find that children transition smoothly and start their school day more readily when entering their classrooms independently. If you would like assistance with a departing ritual, there will be an adult at the carpool site ready to facilitate as needed.
Car Pool Families
For both Morning Arrival and Afternoon Dismissal, car pool families will drive around our one-way route to the car pool site on the east side of our building (Ellis Creek Entrance- single door with black awning). The area is marked by white striped lines and safeguarded with planters to ensure the safety of our children. Children must be escorted to and from their cars by an adult.
Parking, Cycling, and Walking Families
Morning Arrival
For Morning Arrival, parking, cycling, or walking families will drive around our one-way route, park on the southern side of our school and escort children through the Shollenberger Entrance (Southern side of building, double doors with black awning) through the multipurpose room to the Outdoor Cafe for the morning gathering. Please note that children must be escorted to and from their cars, the bike rack, and through our parking areas by an adult.
Afternoon Dismissal
For Afternoon Dismissal, parking, cycling, and walking families will arrive to receive their children on the Shollenberger patio or through the single Shollenberger back exit pick up area. At the end of the school day, teachers will bring their classes through the school to the Shollenberger back exit, transferring children to River Crew, Car Pool Line, or to their family.
Class Schedules
As part of Montessori Methodology, our classroom environments have a minimum of one three-hour work period where children can work freely and uninterrupted on their individual or group lessons. This allows them to process their work at their own pace while balancing their individual preferences, flow, and responsibilities with those of the larger group.
Each class maintains their own individual schedule embracing the Montessori philosophy and includes a three hour work period in the morning and work time in the afternoon that allows for specialized group activities such as music or physical education. The children will begin their school day with a morning Community Gathering in the Outdoor Café and Community Space. The content of this gathering will be determined by the children, supported by faculty and staff. It will undoubtedly evolve over the year as the children grow and we all look forward to developing a unique ritual for our community.
The children will gather with their teachers in the Outdoor Café & Community Space for the morning gathering and then proceed to their classrooms with their teacher.
